There may have been a DNS outage. If you change your counter URLs
to use
'207.44.140.153' instead of 'cgi.boingdragon.com' then it should prevent the
problem in the future.

Installing the counter onto your web-page
Since the counter is really just a remote-url image, you can install
it by adding an image to your page with
the following source url:
<IMG SRC="http://207.44.140.153/count/monalisa/13.gif" WIDTH=114
HEIGHT=35>
Henley Park
http://cgi.boingdragon.com/count/monalisaabbott/59.gif
or http://207.44.140.153/count/monalisaabbott/#INSTANCE to avoid DNS lag.
The '.gif' at the end is
optional.
If you are editing the HTML of your page directly, or entering it
into an eBay description form, you can use:
<IMG SRC="http://cgi.boingdragon.com/count/monalisaabbott/59.gif"
WIDTH=49 HEIGHT=87>
<IMG SRC="http://207.44.140.153/count/monalisaabbott/59.gif" WIDTH=49 HEIGHT=87>
Please note: some web page editor/publisher programs, such as Netscape Composer,
FrontPage, and
most publishers that come with free websites will take a snapshot of images
and copy them instead of
keeping the actual URL you enter. For the counter to work, make sure to select
any 'keep at original
location' type options for the image. If you publish your page and the counter
never changes, this is most
likely the reason why, and you can check it by right-clicking on the image
to see it's url or properties. If they
don't match the URL above, then your publishing system saved a snapshot of
the counter image instead of
leaving the URL intact. Always check this first before asking for help!
